Danny On Hiking Trail Leaving directly from Whitefish Mountain Resort Village is the popular hiking experience of the Danny On Trail, which meanders up the slopes of Big Mountain through blooming wildflowers to the 6,817ft summit, passing through forests and fields. Epic vistas look out over the valley and the mountains from various points along the trail. |

There are four different loops and routes on the trail with the longest route being 5.6 miles from base to summit. The most direct route is 3.8 miles. Please remember to pack extra clothing, food, and water and travel with hiking partners.
When the huckleberries are ripe be prepared to eat some delicious berries too!
*Please note that you need to have either an '09/'10 winter pass, a 2010 summer pass, or a $5 one way lift ticket to ride the lift down from the summit. Tickets available at the summit house, or any ticket outlet. Last ride down the chairlift/gondola is 5:45pm. Hike accordingly if you want a ride back down.
